A Joiners, Movers and Leavers (JML) process should offer a means of aligning IT assets to their respective owners at key points of a staff member’s employment history, particularly at their point of departure, when they are no longer an employee of the business, and it is vital their equipment is repatriated from the leaver promptly. Prompt return of equipment reduces information security risks, allows the harvest of unused software and the re-deployment of old kit if appropriate.
